Anyone down for a Bear Mountain ride this weekend?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Last meet I went to was Cliffs of Insanity and I really am in the mood for a good drive soon and have talked to some friends about the idea of taking a trip up to Bear Mountain this weekend for a nice little drive. If anyone else would be interested it would be great. I was thinking Saturday or Sunday so let me know if anyone wants to go and we can figure out a time and date.

    UPDATE:
    Time: 9:00
Where: The REEF Restaurant at the foot of the mountain
Conditional: Lets keep an eye out for willing participation and weather conditions

Where is bear mountain? A town or something close by would be nice to know so I can mapquest and determine how far it is.

Try Cold Spring, NY - I know that is pretty close (some of the bear mtn hiking trails start from there).

Yeah I was like WTF, how can a southern CT to Bear mtn drive be 5 hours lol

Kinda off topic, but what happened to that Euro photoshoot in NJ near NYC that was supposed to be this Sunday? If it was canceled, simply silently deleting the thread is a poor way to go about it.

I'm in for Sunday. Let's get a drive/cruise going. Fuck the snow we got Quattro. I did a run last year up there right after a snow storm. Was alot of fun drifting the empty campground lots.

    Where to meet?

Hmm well I was thinking the usual Reef restaurant at the bottom and earlier in the morning so probably around 9 would be good? If I recall you know Bear Mountain rather well correct? Because I would have no clue where to go besides getting us lost haha. We'll keep an eye for the weather though since I don't think many will make it out if it is a bad storm but I would love to get a nice little run going up there its always a good time.

Yeah i know most of the roads around there. The REEF is a good spot. Then we can head up the 'Goat Trail' into the state park!

It looks like it will be fine for Sunday, it snowed today but the roads are clear still and then if it snows friday by Sunday I doubt there will be any problems and they are calling for it to be sunny Saturday and Sunday so all looks good. More People!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
