i read on another thread that these are for quattro only. Is that true or can they also be used on the FWD a4 also? If they are for quattro only, are there any drawbacks to running it on a FWD car?

no i know the people whodid their testing loved them.. but also... they paid nothing for the coilovers.. so im sure they had nothing but good stuff to say.. i want someone who paid regular price who can give a 100% honest opinion.

you you would really need someone who has had another brand installed at similiar height to get a true review but for $450 for your average person that just wants a drop, thats tough to beat

Very good point! The price is killer, but is the quality up to par?

everytime i have cheaped out, i wished i spent the extra to get what i wanted.. especially with this car

i wouldnt expect anything better than factory handling with the ability to low...

At this price, just buy them and if you don't like them, you can sell them for what you bought them for no problem! Hell, maybe even a little more!

I don't want to post the members name but i went back through other V Max threads and found people that said they had bought these then emailed them directly to see what they thought of them. Here was one reply i got.

I am seriously considering these also because i will not be tracking my car so i don't need the damping adjustment that most other kits have. Just want it a little stiffer and lowered. With a bigger sway bar I think the ride will be what i want.

I also searched the Vortech and some members on there said they had 25k on them with no problems others said they blew out in 2k miles. But they didnt list how low they had them set.

yeah well a lot of vw guys take out the perches to make them supper low and what now.. which is cool and thats why they blow.. but even then... its a spring set.. you want to lower your car with no added performace get springs.. if not get a set of coils.. im still on the wall about these... and the serivce about strat im not to happy about.. i called about 3-4 times regarding something and no call back.. and that was about 4 weeks ago.. so i mean. not to happy with that.

I want to get this set, but I dont want to be out the money if I look back and say to myself "You should have waited to get a better set." If there are some good reviews ill jump on them today, if not I guess ill wait.

strat.. jsut a little tip.. i would wait for a few more reviews to come in from the people buying them this first special... then after those.. have another special... i think a lot of people are ready to buy.. but no one wants to be the guinnea pig.. now that you got a few i say wait it out and release another special?? might work.. trying to help
