I just got brand new 18" alloy wheels and after taking the car snowboarding for the weekend in the middle of a storm I just noticed they're already scuffed up and there are a couple of scrapes at the edge of the rim by the tire. How much would it cost to buff that out? I'm guessing like 50$ a wheel? Doesn't look too serious. Learned the hard way that going from 16" to 18" you really have to be careful

if its just a "scuff" like you say...I would just wetsand it very lightly and buff it out...
start with 400 grit, and work your way up. then buff it. If its too deep, you won't be able to just buff it out. Some wheel repair shops can fix it but it could get expensive.

For $50 a wheel sombody will come to your house and fix it...sometimes the repairs get pricey, many polished lips also have a clear coat finish to protect the luster...

I've had this happen since I live in a city now and after a couple hundred times parallel parking it is just inevitable. I keep a collection of foam sanding blocks of varying grits with my mothers polish and when I get motivated everyonce and a while I sand the scratches out and buff the lips up. Up close you can see them but from a far hardly noticable. This only cost about $20 bucks at an auto store and some time on your part.

If they are an expensive set of wheels, Iforged, HRE, and so forth then maybe you could check with a proffesional wheel refinisher in your area in the Regionals section. If you are driving in snow and what no though it sounds as though they are not. Good luck with how ever you decide to repair them.
