    mine 99 with 2.8L
those 2.7L turbo will go in without any problem? what are the parts needed to swap engine? just curious since I've been seeing some 2.7L engine available for around 2~2.5K so I was just thinking get it, fully rebuilt then swap motor in.
it will be after my first project gets done, so long project, just curious what needed to get the job done..

    Re: question on engine swap

You need, the engine, engine harness, the stock 2.7 or an aftermaret exhaust, and the ECU, everything else is a direct swap. However, the above is much easier said than done. It would be better to sell the car and buy one with a 2.7.

    Re: question on engine swap

yeah right now I seen 2.7t around 10k and thought about sell 2.8 and buy it. but if I do it this way, I can built the engine way I want to get it done, (stage 3 etc) and send it to have engine swapped later when my truck is running (it wil run now also but few things needs to be done to get my air suspension so it rides better). so I don't end up with no ride. it's a thought though I'll look on bentely book and see what are exactly needed, then might change my mind and sell mine out, then get 2.7t..... or TT(lately in mind also if I'm selling 2.8 I have now....)
thanks for the info. now I can start research a bit and make my decision on it.

    Re: question on engine swap

I have done that swap a few times You will need engine, trans, ecu, rear diff ,axles and spindles
drive by wire pedal if your car is not equipped with one already and chassis wiring harness or you can splice in the wiring if you know what your doing
Its much easier to have a donor s4 to swap every thing over
My shop is located in philadelphia if you need some help on the swap ,rick
