Can KEY-COM be used at all on B7?

Hi all,

I have a Ross-Tech "KEY-COM" VAG-COM cable that I used on my B5. According to Ross-Tech's website, this cable can't access all modules on the B7 since some use CAN bus. But they seem to indicate that some might work. I'm not having any luck getting VAG-COM VCDS v8.05 to see the interface when running a test. I haven't used the cable in almost 2 years, so it's possible something got miss-configured on my laptop, but can't seem to get it to work.

Just looking to see if anyone has used a KEY-COM successfully on a B7 for anything.

I'm just trying to disable the seatbelt chime, enable remote windows, and configure euro turn signal config, no datalogging or anything complex like that.

Had the same problem on my 2005.5 B7, my old cable could not read all the modules. I had to upgrade to the new cable (Ross-Tech has a program in place to credit you the core) and everything works now flowlessly, I can access everything

My problem is that I can't access anything, I get a message that says "interface not found" when attempting to connect to any module or run the com port test. Were you able to access anything with your old cable, and which cable did you have?
