    Anyone know long term reliability for VAST-built K04/RS6 hybrids?

    Initially, hybrids seemed to have a reputation for a short life--does anyone have experience with the VAST hybrids and if so, how many miles. Also, any noticeable differences in lag compared to the PJ K04's? Thanks...

    Why not get the regular RS6 turbos non-hybrids? Look at RS6 cars with V8 4.2L, seem to be fine with a bigger motor than our 2.7T.

    I just blew a PJ K04, and want to keep the cost down for the repair. The RS6's do not fit my inlets, DP's, etc., so to change the turbos, it will be more money than I want to spend...

    Ah gotcha. Why wouldn't your inlets work, I thought ko4 inlets fit RS6 turbos, either way how many miles did you have on the PJ KO4 and what psi were you running out of curiosity?

    I got a set of new RS4 CHRA's from Audspeed on eBay, and they lasted for about 8k or so, before the driver's side came apart--found the nut laying in the inlet pipe on the cold side--the hot side became a projectile disappearing into the exhaust. I have AWE S3, and have been running a peak of 22 psi.

    If VAST's hybrids typically last 20,000 miles or more, I think I will have them do the turbo rebuild, and have them retune, to get a bit more power. If not, I will buy the RS4 CHRA's from the most reputable source that I can find, and just put everything back together for the least amount of $. Audspeed's CHRA's may be factory direct, as claimed, but I am not convinced... (Box had serial numbers removed on the last set)

    yea, VAST ftw - you really cant go wrong ... now that i think of it, of all the years i have been around the message boards - id like to find some people badmouthing them ... because i dont think i know of 1 single VAST hater ... i visited their shop and became such a big fanboy

    30K miles on my Buehn bomb k04/rs6 brids so far running 26psi spike and lots of track time.
