Picked up an A4 a week ago...

Picked up a 2004 A4 1.8T Quattro on Tuesday from Sun Motor Cars in Mechanicsburg, PA. Great group of people there. It was only fitting to pick it up Tuesday with it puking snow. Going from a 91' GTI to a 04' A4 in the snow is a huge improvement.

Cars completely stock for now, good things take time. With a wedding coming up in Oct. for myself, it may be longer than normal.

Here she is in all her glory! Name is Schnee, snow in german. Only fitting since I picked her up in the snow.

Dunno what route im going to take enhancement wise. Got a lot to learn about the car. So far I love it.

Nice, yeah i don't see a whole lot of white cars on these forums but i love the way they look when they are modified. Good stuff

Thanks for the compliment! So far the car seems great. I didn't know that the white/black was a rare find. Glad I found it then. I've had a white car before, dunno what direction I'm going to take this one tho. 2 white cars and 2 red cars now. Almost went blue with the A4 but it was automagic.

Anything info on the car you guys can fill me in on? What mods are good what mods are pointless. Good companies for the car and the bad. Not like I'm out of the loop or anything on the companies just never have owned and Audi before, just a VW. Same thing probably.

The jetta was my first car, probably would have done it a little differently now. Miss the wheels and the engine.

Wish I didn't have to get rid of the MKII, but don't want 2 cars right now. It's for sale right now. I'd still have the MKV but for a family emergency reason it was sold. One of my good friends actually bought it, so I see it quite often.

check out a4mods.com for a lot of DIY type mods, like blacked out grilles (which would look nice on white) and also clear corners.

engine wise, just please don't by a 400 dollar intake. they don't do anything except look cool.

i was reading a little about the intakes and all they do is look cool. just pop in a k&n air filter should be enough. thanks for the confirmation on that. definitely going to look at thos threads.

stock air filter is good enought. some members use K&N and the oil on the filter will ruin your MAF.
you can try to run MAF-less

et35 is what most people have and the width of the wheels is usually 8.5"

say you run VMR V710 19x 8.5 ET35 and you can run 235/35/19 all around or 245/35/19

some like staggered setup, like 19x8.5 front with 35 offset and run 235/35/19 tires. rears can be 45 offset and run 245/45/19 on a 19 x 9.5 wheel, this case some negative cambers are needed, like -2 degrees.
each wheel is different and the tires' sidewalls are different as well, just have to run them and find out.

thanks!!! what i wanted to know. dont think ill run a staggered set up. no need to risk anything. ill have new shoes for the spring. got some picked out just a matter of convincing the finacee to let me make a purchase.
