so while reading the diy for the boost gauge installs on our cars I have not been able to find one that talks about where to install all four wires for the wireing harness. I know the black wire gets connected to the ground. where does the white orange and red wires go?

    Re: boost gauge

I have a Blitz Dual Turbo Timer/Boost Gauge so I had extra wires but I have no idea why you would.

For me, red wire went to terminal 30 and green wire tied into a wire that goes to the OBD II port.

    Re: boost gauge

according to the info I got with the gauge. the orange wire goes to 12v wire when ignition on. the red wire goes to 12v battery wire. the white wire goes to 12v wire when small lamp on. and black wire to ground or negative battery terminal. does that mean that I only use the negative and then one of the power supply options or do I have to connect them all?

    Re: boost gauge

I haven't installed this one but let me give you my two cents.

You likely will need to connect both the constant 12V and switched 12V (ignition). Reason being that some units will hold some memory, be it for settings or for diagnostics and that is why it always needs power. However you don't always need the gauge showing current boost so it powers down the display and requires less current when the car is off. When to turn on and off the display comes from the ignition.

As for the small bulb wire, maybe it is to be connected to your parklights circuit, so the display lights up or dims down when you turn your lights on at night.

ok do you happen to have any pics of these mounting locations or can you explain to me where to find the places you just said to install the wires?

AWE's site is the best I've found. Not too hard just make sure you tuck the wires away in a spot that you won't pinch them with the screws when you put the panel back in place like I did!

Look for the click "Here" under the pic to open the .pdf

e-mail me if you can't find the instructions and I'll e-mail you the .pdf.
