    Front brakes tools

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
i just ordered some replacement pads and rotors for my B6 and i was wondering if someone could post up what tools are needed for this. i found a couple of how-to's but they don't list all the tools or they list different ones. sorry if this is a dumb thread but i'm just tired of being surprised everytime i need to do a job on the car and i get stuck not having the proper tools like a T25 star driver or whatever.

    thanks

    Re: Front brakes tools

Pretty sure you don't need anything special in terms of tools. Bleeding the lines will be the hardest part prolly.

    Re: Front brakes tools

you need the special brake tool for the rear calipers only since they need to be turned while pushing the piston in. You don't need to bleed them either unless you also changing the lines or fluid. Good luck and don't forget the brake quite paste and to bed the new pads per manufacturer specs..
