04 S4 Sunshade problem sun shade

Hey guys,

in my s4, sometimes when i push the sunshade button it works and the shade moves up and down, and other times, it doesnt...im just really confused and think there may be a problem? sorry if i sound like a beginner but i am

did you check to see if anything is getting in the way of the shades going up? I know, it sounds ridiculous, but sometimes, the arms get bent because of people putting stuff back there or it could be a number of reasons. another is the electrical connection. maybe your wires are loose or something.

that happened to me once. I started freaking out, but after I parked my car for a while and came back to it, it worked fine. No rhyme or reason why, could be a loose electrical connection somewhere.

happened to me...only in the real cold weather. i think it sticks to itself. once i heat the cabin up...it works fine. but it happens to me too.

What's the weather like where you are. The shades don't work in the cold weather. it say that in the manual.

he is in IL like me....so that would explain it. and yes the button kind of goes dead when its real cold out. when i heat the cabin interior up....it works just fine. but from a cold start...depending on how cold....it won't go up....but i kind of figure that would happen anyway.

ah ok thanks alot...ya it does get cold out, but this did happen a few times in the summer also...i was going to go get it checked out, but thanks alot guys!
