My personal experience with them (In order):
Week 1: Dropped my car off to get my HRE's painted.
Week 2: Was told car was completed and to pick it up. (I live 2 hours away, by the way.) I arrive, only to find out my car is on a jack and they can't get the last wheel on. I have (2) 255 and (2) 235 tires, I noticed they mismatched a 235 in the front/rear--so of course the 255 wouldn't fit in the front now. They also lost one wheel lock, making me run 4 of 5 lugs on one wheel. They told me to come back in a week.
Week 3: I pick up my car--all seems good. I get home and sleep. Morning time comes and I have 2 flat tires. I fill it up and take it to my local tire shop. They found it leaking through the bolts because of improper sealment. I called them and they offered to trailer my car to the shop. Trailer arrives and the driver behind the wheel of my car scrapes it going onto the trailer. He reverses it fast and pulls my bumper from the bottom, because now it caught on the way down and caused stress cracks all over the center of my bumper (Near and close to my liscence plate). Cracks are very noticable and my bumper is now deformed on the bottom. They picked it up on a Monday and promised to deliver the car by Friday morning. (I stressed I needed it by Friday morning bc I had work Fri-Sun and this was my only car)
Week 4: They call me Friday morning and asked "Where my wheel lock key was" Basically telling me "Hey, we haven't even started on your car!" I asked them what happened to delivering the car before Friday because I needed to work and they said "Life isn't fair"
Week 5: They deny trailering my car back to me (This was the original plan too), and force me to pick it up. I was going to arrive at night time and wanting to save a headache, I asked: 'Can you leave my car in the garage with ample lighting, so I can make sure everything is ok before taking off?' They denied me of that as well. They told me my car would be waiting outside with the key in the car. Outraged--I told him this was ridiculous, however they offered to pay me $25.00 in gas money. When I was getting close, I called them and they told me they couldn't pay me the money then--that they would 'mail me a check'...yeah sure--talk about shady. I picked up my car anyways but I felt shaking on my suspension/steering wheel that I didn't feel before dropping my car off. I called 3 times and no one answered, so I left a message. I then got home and went to sleep. Morning comes and I have a flat tire, I filled it up and took it to my local tire shop again. They told me they found a crack on the inner lip and it was mysteriously bent outwards as opposed to being bent inwards. This let me know that it couldn't have been caused by my driving, because a pothole or curb would have bent it in. I had to fix my car so I sent my wheel to be welded @ Yih Olde Wheel shop and was charged $190 for a 2 day express job. I emailed them and called Wheel Refinishers concerning my losses only to get nothing but a reply saying 'Seek legal advice'.
Recap of my mess:
-5 Weeks of bullshit for a 1 week job.
-3 trips there and back, only to find out something new was wrong everytime.
-Improperly sealed wheels causing 2 tires to go flat.
-They lost one of my wheel locks, forcing me to run 4 out of 5 lugs on one wheel.
-Pulled/deformed bumper and stress cracks: 5 in total (4-6Inches wide). I might need a new bumper and have it resprayed.
-Crack on inner lip of 1 wheel. Note: Wheel was bent outward instead of inward. Proving it was caused by them.
-Denial of my $25 gas money, as previously promised by the manager.
-Loss of work for 3 days, because I didn't have my car--although I was promised to have it before I had to work.
-Denial of responsibility for any of this with a reply of 'Seek legal advice'
At this point, I don't know what to do. They won't talk to me, so should I get a lawyer and take them to court?
