I've never seen anything like this before.

For a few days I didn't drive my Audi-during the snow storm. After the weather cleared up a bit, I took it out and it was raining. Turned the wipers on and after about ten minutes the drivers side wiper literally slid off the windshield, and hit my drivers side mirror.

Kind of hard to explain how the wiper was stuck.

So fast foward to the next day, was driving to the airport started raining. This time I controlled the wipers manually. I noticed after about ten rotations, the drivers side wiper "starting spot" crept further up, and the next time I used them further up, and the third time I used them it slid off the windshield again and the wiper blade bent around my mirror.

The wiper arm is mounted on a spline. The bolt holding it down could be loose. Pry off the cap, put the arm back in position, and tighten the bolt.

Yeah this is kind of a common issue with VW's and Audi's. I've fixed several vdubs with the issue and have heard of plenty of Audi's having the same problem.
