    Brake noob got questions

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have an 03 A4 1.8T Quattro with stock rotors, pads etc

What is the BEST option / Biggest if I DO NOT want to swap caliper/carriers for rotors and pads in a street / daily driver setup

Rotors: What size can I go up to? and what brand?

I am thinking Adam @ SPP or ECS or Zimmermans

Pads: Hawk or PBR - any recommendations?

I searched and its all so confusing

If i have 245mm rears can I toss on 255mms?

    Any tutorials be appreciated

I am swapping out front AND rear rotors but fronts ar more pressing / important ATM

Okay so A8 brakes will require new TT Carriers ? where can I source these and is it a noticeable difference / worth the money?

most people go with b6s4, u could even go with 3.0, depends really on what ur budged is.. KEEP IN MIND.. they have to clear whatever wheels u have on.. and also clear ur winter setup too.. check the classifieds on the top right of this page.. or go on ecstuning.com if u got money.
    OEM is sexy.

Sounds like you're basically looking for the same sizes but just a better quality product? Just out of curiosity, why not get something bigger that will stop better?
If I were looking to just get better of what I already had, I'd go with Adams rotors and Hawk pads.

Personally, I'd just swap over to some better brakes. Maybe this will help.
