Which wire?

Hey guys, the shop that installed my Avic-D3 didn't tap into the wire for my "night mode" I searched, but couldn't find the answer to this..

"Night mode: when you flip on your headlights you can choose how dim you want the screen to get, and the navigation screen has a night mode which uses darker colors for the map, and is much easier on the eyes to be activated."

Anyone know exactly which wire needs to be tapped into? Pics would be great, otherwise a description should suffice.

Can you go into the system settings and just turn on Day mode full time? I know you can in the Z2 and Z3.

thats the problem, i have day mode on all the time..i can hardly use the nav at night cause its soo blinding. I want it to be able to switch into night mode at night.

What kind of aftermarket harness was installed? Find the illumination wire on the harness to tap into.

right, but where do i tap into the car after I know which wire?
