    TBB Change

Ok so I have been searching for about an hour and now I just need help. I am going to change my TBB tomorrow, New Samco, and I just want a write up that I can follow. I saw the one on APR's website and that seems to be the only option, but I was wondering if anyone has a write up. I just don't want to be half way in and get lost.

Also if anyone has done this is it any harder than changing the DV's?

    Re: TBB Change

If you can change the DV's, you can change the TBB. Not hard at all.

    Re: TBB Change

i'd recommend spraying some hairspray on the inside of the tbb so it's sticky and you get a really snug fit

    Re: TBB Change

Ya know, after reading this post about 30 minutes ago, I decided to check my TBB. After getting it off, I find this...

Isn't that just wonderful? No wonder my car has felt a little...off recently

    Re: TBB Change

be careful when loosening the plastic hoses not loosen them all the way and be careful not to put too much pressure on the plastic hoses because they snap easily. other than that its easy to do.

    Re: TBB Change

^^^lol, Yeah I just changed it and wow you guys wern't kidding this was simple. I found it easier than the DV's. the only thing that sucked was the hex bolts were practically welded in place so I sprayed some PB blaster on them and it was fine.

I drove the car just now and wow its got its pep back, but after a nice cruise on the H-way I pulled in for some gas and the engine started smoking... Oh well, onto the next problem haha

That it is, but I still wouldnt trade mine for a samco tbb. There again, I bought everything on my car on sale, or dir ass cheap ebay prices. No way I would pay retail for one.

Running stock TBB with good spring clamps with 23 PSI no issues at all, I just replace it when i rebuild my DV's every 15/20 K I had a samco and it was a POS IMO from the get go it never fit right, the rest of my samco boost hoses were fine,

    Re: TBB Change

I had mine off last night and inspected it, still looks like new, no tears and its the one that came with the car.

I should say I had it off and back on in 10 minutes too. very easy to do.
