    ESP/ABS Lights

Last night and tonight after some parking lot snow/ice fun the esp/abs lights stay on and the systems are inactive even if I press the esp button. I had the esp de-activated when the abs light came on. The lights turned off and the esp/abs functioned fine when I got back in my car today...Just curious as to what is disabling these systems and if there might be a problem...? Haven't vag'd the car when this happens but read a few threads about a steering angle sensor and ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, not sure if either of those might be related...?

    TIA and quattro FTMFW!!!!

I'd love to know as well. I had the same thing happen in some deep snow here the other week. My ESP was on, but my brake and ABS lights flashed in some type demented anti-christmas show.

Same result as jblinga - everything went back to normal.

Maybe a lot of snow got underneath and between your wheels, that caused the alignment issues for a bit

so alignment can cause you to have abs/esp lights come on at the same time?

not sure about the abs, but yes, bad alignment can cause the esp light to be ON.
