These cars can be made track beasts, which I'd rather have than some pretty b6 3.0 - it all depends on the person, which is fine, but you guys shouldn't turn down the chance to drive one if given, unless you care to much about what others will think of you.

The fact of the matter is that any idiot with no style can easily make a car look gay. Even though Audi makes super stylish classy cars I agree with tdn, I've seen plenty of lame/gay audi A4's out there.

I can't help but feel a little less manly in a Mini Cooper though. The only people you see driving them are women and nerdy guys. I think gay is the wrong word to use. I think they're just lame, no matter how fast you can make them on the track. But, to each his own.

actually no...only one person other than you mentioned modding them...out of 25 posts. Further, my post was addressed at the dude who said the Mini would beat the S4...not modded.

the 'modded' argument is lame...that holds true about EVERY car. It's the dumbest argument on earth. It's like 'winning' a 1/4 mile against a Murcielago because your schoolbus got a 6 length headstart...about as relevant as a modded mini vs a stock S4

the discussion was about Mini Cooper yada yada vs S4 and that it would kill an S4 on a track...it just flat wouldn't.

if you're going to mod the Mini, mod the S4...or don't compare them. What's the point?

those are the only tracks I checked on fastest laps (other than the Motovision Handling Course, which was 19.86 seconds for the S4 vs. 20.28 for the Mini) but you'll find that's true on any real track. I challenge you to find evidence to the contrary. Have fun smashing your head into the wall...might knock some sense into it after you realize the S4 is just flat faster no matter what measure (excusing the aforementioned track-with-40inch stone wall gap to pass).

I wasn't trying to compare a 340hp car vs a Mini anyway...I was just disputing an assertion that the Mini is the clear winner on a track. It's just flat not.

p.s. those are all pretty short, twisty tracks other than the ring...what do you want...a 70 foot long figure 8? We're talking TRACKS. Do you want slow tracks? Your post is pretty vague and useless.
