First thing, yes I need a new clutch. This is the stocker amazingly holding strong at 78000 miles . Once boost rises past 15lbs the clutch starts to . Pretty soon Ill pay someone to on the new clutch once I find one that I want.

I was watching and thinking "If this music is left on the whole video I will turn it off". Luckily I skipped to the end and it wasn't there anymore. Nice video.

Yah I was thinking either the FX400 or the Southbend Stage 5. Kinda been leaning towards the FX because of all " I hate Southbend threads" Also Mike was sayin that you can get the FX with an 8 puck or somethin.

Yah it's crazy cause the volume was only on 3 out of 30, I didnt think it would be so loud. I had the windows down so that the open dump would be more audible. next time I'll try it with the windows up

Yep, I got the 8 pad FX400. Hopefully I can give you an idea how it is before you REALLY need a new clutch.

same here - i was backing out of my friend's driveway the other night and it locked up on me. thank god it didn't freeze up hard because i was in bad traffic and pretty pissed off...

got smart (and a little stupid) and turned the car off, put it in first, and prayed to god the starter had enough oomph to break it loose - turned it over and it popped free. it drove a little strangely for the first day or so but it's back to normal now.

and now that i'm thinking about it i need to give greg a call (or if you're reading this shoot me a PM) about getting something else in my car. i just can't trust it to not do the same again. (i was just driving normally too, can't understand why it never did this during any of the trips to the track or when im flogging it on the street... granted i'm not complaining lol)

1st off nice video..... I heard the clutch slipping and smiled becuase thats exactly where mine slips on my little k03.... Well after speaking with Greg it looks like Im going to get the 6 puck clutch masters because I cannot have stuff welding up on me... NO time or $$$$ to do buy 2 different clutches... Might as well do it right the first time...

well if you're not railing your clutch like a 10 cent hooker you should be fine. 99% of us that have welded out FE SS's race our cars frequently, including and not limited to multiple launches, burnouts, donuts, "drifting", street racing, "aggressive driving", track days, etc. For the supposed problems that the clutch has it sure does take one hell of a beating first. i don't put the clutch at fault at all - if you're going to be mostly just rolling into the throttle (not launching the car) you'll be fine either way.

i just know sam is going to want to hammer on his car every now and again (or perhaps more often than that) so i wouldn't recommend the FE SS to him.
