Just picked up a CPO'd '06 B7 and was looking through the engine compartment; again.
This time, I noticed that the sub-compartment which holds the battery (along the firewall) was open from battery all the way over to the driver side quarter panel. It is covered from the right of the battery all the way to the passenger quarterpanel (as seen while driving). Did/should this car have come with a cover for the entire sub-compartment? If it should and anyone can find a picture for me, that would be great so I can have something to show them when they say that "that's the way the car comes stock" like everything else they've been telling me that I know is not true. (I don't like dealers these days).
Only reason I ask is that my '04 B4 passat was covered entirely along the firewall (OVER the battery, from the passenger side to the drivere side) and if this vehicle should have had it I want to be sure that I get one from the dealer as I'm going back and forth with them for all the things I should have gotten but didn't, all the things that should have been done but was not... etc... THAT story to follow.
