Bought an S6 today

Hello. Wanted to introduce myself. Name is Greg. Been on Audizine for a few years now in the B5 A4 forums. Prior to that I was on vwvortex, owned 6 or 7 VW's, last one was a G60 Corrado . I sold my A4 a few weeks ago and picked up this 2002 S6 today. Needed the legroom, I have 3 boys to cart around.

I got a few pointers on IM from "RAudiS6" over the past few days. Thanks again!

63,000 miles on her and in very clean condition. Had the original window sticker in the glovebox. 1 owner car.





Factory Options.



I set aside a little money to do some minor mods right away. Looking to replace the roof antenna with a brushed stubby type if those are available. Also looking for all weather floor mats preferably with the Audi Sport logo if that's even an option.

I've been searching around for parts and info for the past week while I waited to pick her up.

Any feedback or pointers is GREATLY appreciated.

Avants ROCK. If I did not need the towing capabilities (and light offroading), the S6 was my other choice in a car. As it is the allroad 4.2 has been the ticket. Far better than an SUV.

H-Sports, tint and some different wheels will totally change the handling and look from staid factory ride to sleeper hot-rod eater.

Nice! You'll love it. Put some snow tires on it and you'll beg for a snowstorm. S6s are awesome in the snow.

I need some winter floor mats. Where do I get those? Right now, I have the rubber mats from the Jetta in mine.

Got out for a drive earlier today. First time I had the chance since I brought it home. She moves pretty good

I'll be changing the oil, air filter, fuel filter and so on next weekend as a precaution, not sure how old the current ones are. Wanted to change the spark plugs as well. I assume OEM is the best bet?

I ordered the WeatherTech black all weather mats last night and a new roof antenna.

Currently the only mod is an AZ license plate surround

Searched high and low for the RS6 perforated tiptronic shift knob....those easy to come by?

I'll post up some pics as soon as time allows.
