Figured out my cooling fan issue...finally!

After weeks of forum searching and messaging my fellow AZ'rs I've figured out why my fans keep kicking on while sitting in the driveway/garage.

I took off my ECU cover to find this under the ECU.


The Problem. Submerged relay.


The cullprit. Cracked ECU cover.


The cost of a new relay and ECU cover..$70 from Audi

i had that issue too this summer.
my water temp went up to 120 degrees when i was on the track.
then after 2 month, the water temp stays at 60 all the time, coz the fan was on all the time. then i scan my car and get short ground code, clear it, everything is normal. then i realized that why my water temp went up to 120 when i was on the track, the fan never went on.

i will check my ECU box too. coz i have radar jammer wire go thru the box.
