    Chip questions!!!!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I have been wanting to chip my a4 for a while now and finally have the oppurtunity to do so.
After reading up on all the info about the different software's I have decided to go with REVO or APR.
The nearest shop is almost 100 miles from where I live. On the other hand I was wandering would it be a good Idea to just send my ECU in and get it flashed and work on the car my self. It's not a hard job to take the ECU out.
The negative to that is I wouldn't be able to try out the free trial.
Also, is the free trial exactly the same as the software???? Performance wise??

    * Would they charge me for instalation if I went to the shop??

*APR -> Another thing,, I was going to get two options with it. What are the best options?? 91 octane and what other one is good?

There wouldn't really be any installation unless you get injectors, which will be highly recommended by most people on here.

You'd better get a DV too. If you overnight your ECU to Eurocode, they'll send you a 007 for free.

    Wink Re: Chip questions!!!!!

Ya I am def getting a new DV!

SO I guess the better thing to do is to send my ECU out and get it flashed, instead of me driving almost 200 miles there and back?

Where is the best place I can send it in to get it flashed?

What I have heard is just get the 93 octane then??

Oh ya, I will be going with REVO..
