In the past couple days i threw some gloss black RS4 reps on and tinted it 20%.Thing looks pretty sinister.

I was on the VW forum researching a problem that i was having w/ my wifes Sirius activation. I came accross a guy looking for Avus S4 rims so i reached out to him. Long story short i sold my OE rims (2 of which were curbed) to him for $650 shipped and got in on Alloy R Us's sale for $500 for the RS4 reps. It was a no brainer to me. I get newer, lighter rims and make about $20 on the deal.

Here's a pic from Wednesday night w/ just the rims. I got home after dark this evening and will post pics w/ the tint tomorrow.. The rims are missing the centercaps in this pic, and it was starting to get dark when i took the pic, but you get the idea.. Due to the lighting you really can't see the gloss in the rims which is what really makes the rim pop.. The black rim thing isn't for everyone, but i love it and am glad i did it. The car really looks kinda stealthy. I can't wait til i get my coilovers in a few months. That will complete the look of the car.. I already got a compliment on it today filling up at local gas station..

#1 they are not rims..... they are wheels, wheels have a rim or lip

#2 if you sold your wheels to a guy for 650 and only paid 500, looks like you made 150

#3 my avus s4 wheels.... not unique, but i paid 350 for them plus tires and went up a size are lighter than a set of 18in rs4 reps

Two weeks before i got rims i got tires for the OE rims which were 18's. I'm kinda pissed about it all because i could have gotten 19" rims and tires for about $150 more.. Oh well..

You should think about changing out the bright chrome trim to something darker. I believe you can buy the titanium package trim pieces. Trim +tint would really help!

I have only seen one locally here. It was a black B7 w/ silver reps. Then again, i don't see that many S4's around here. I see lots of A4's but not that many S4's. People in Atlanta when spending that kind of money tend to migrate towards the BMW's and Benz's. I had to go to Texas to find my car. RS4 reps may be common on this forum but there are not common locally (much less black ones).

To the OP: good deal on the wheels. I'm personally not a fan of black wheels since I think black kills the details of a rim, but if you like them that's all what matters.

Actually a wheel is made of a rim and a tire. A rim may or may not have lip.

RS4 reps look good on B7s but I don't love them on B6. Still, their being 'common' is no reason to flame the guy!

I live in Toronto, the 5th largest city in North America, and I have seen 1 car with 17" RS4 style wheels...it was an old A6. I have only seen 2 other cars with 18" RS4 style wheels...and they were both B7 S4s with OEM wheels (that wheel was a stock choice on the B7 S4). The only cars I've seen with 19" RS4 wheels were actual RS4s.

I've NEVER seen reps on any car other than that 1 A6.

So, to all the haters who say 'they're too common' just remember...maybe you live in 'Modsville' where everyone mods their car, but honestly we buy more Audis here near Toronto than any other city on this continent and RS4 reps are about as common as palm trees. May be the same rarity in Atlanta or wherever.
