Searched and found 3 million results. I can't find the expandable mesh at home depot or lowes, maybe I'm looking in the wrong area. Also what does the self adhesive rubber door trim look like, and how do I attach it? I got a few x-mas gifts that need grills! Pics will follow. Thanks fellas.

the best (heavy duty) mesh i have found was in the screen door section at lowes. it is extruded aluminum mesh. you can paint it with plasti-kote and it will look pretty good.

What are you guys wrapping the edges of the mesh with to keep it from digging into the plastic?

A little pricey, but as close to OEM as you can get.

Anyone have pictures of a DIY grille on a USP bumper? I've got one on now that isnt TOO bad, but I could definitely put some more time into a better setup

A lot of people keep asking me about my S4 lower grilles....

The mesh I used was from Home Depot in the metal section near the hardware department. Cut it with an angle grinder and massaged it to fit the curvature of the bumper. Center grille I had to weld another section on to span the entire bumper center. I then painted them with Plasti-Dip.

I took fuel line and cut a slice in it on one side to wrap the edges of the mesh. Then hot glued it to the mesh. I drilled small holes and ran black zip ties from inside around the fuel line.

I don't know how robust this is to the elements, but I've seen it called modders mesh

    Thanks.

Don't think I'm going to touch the upper trim. I have two sets of extra upper trims so I may experiment with one of them.

I did this last summer with the expensive RS4 mesh linked above and using my non USP center grill frame. Let me try to find my old post for you.
