    SoCal Car Audio Reference

Hello, I need a good reference to a store in Orange County, CA (949) that will professionally install car audio into my B7 A4. I'm looking for anywhere that someone has used before where the prices were right, installation was clean, and overall they would recommend the place to someone else (me).

don't know about OC, but in riverside Joe the sales manager over at Pacific Stereo is always great to me. Worked on both audi's i've owned, and my honda. and as well as my other friends cars.

    (951) 352-1784. He gives great prices, price matched whoever i asked, knows his shit, and of course great customer service. I think it would be worth your drive to pay a visit to him or at least talk to him. If you tell him Ray from Sprint (i work down the street from his shop), he may cut u better deals.

Ive used quite a few places in OC the one I would recommend is Beach auto sound. There are two locations. One on Newport blvd. in NB and one on Beach Blvd. and Talbert in HB.

I do most of the stuff myself now, but they installed an early navigation system for me back in 2001. Here are some pics from my B5. They installed tv tuner, dvd player, nav and cd. Ive seen thier work recently and it is top knotch.

shoot me a pm, my buddy can go to your place and do the installation at your home.

he has worked on all of my previous Audis b5 a4, moms rover, sisters c350 and my pride and joy b7 a4.

he knows how to handle high end audio. He installed my focal Utopia's, jl subs + amps, etc etc. He can also get you anything you need audio wise, if you need something extra.

If you want the best there is only two places that you should be taking your car to. One of them is Speaker Works in the city of Orange and the other one is Competition Soundworks in Artesia. Do some research and you'll see that these guys do some of the best sounding systems in the nation.

^^Haha, ya dude I still got your number. I've been going TDY all over the fuckin place this last year...Turkey, Germany (simply amazing dude), Saudi Arabia...seems like every damn time I get back to Cali, they send me somewhere else. I'm home right now for the holidays, though...we should definitely meet up!

I so wish that was true. My dad goes through the roof when he sees an aftermarket radio in the dash. He associates it with those loud obnoxious booming systems.

BTW, I have never actually had Speakerworks or CSW work on my car. They did an install for a friend of mine. Turned out nice but I could have done to same thing. I'll bet Quattro can get the job done at a fraction of the price and you'll be satisfied. Tuning the system is another story. Don't know what you plan on installing but I run some Audio Control equipment is it isn't the easiest to tune. If you're just doing a head unit and amp then no biggie. Good Luck!

I know that there are a bunch of capable places, but if you're near Speakerworks then take the time to check them out. You may learn a few things and get some ideas on what you really want in your system.

    Re: SoCal Car Audio Reference

oh no, ed your dad will not like me then...I am one of those obnoxious people he talks about hehe.

ya, anyone can do a basic install, hell you could even DIY it, but it comes down to tuning and being able to properly install components to have optimal performance out of your investment (I call it an ear investment).

What are you going to install anywho?
