Passenger back windows gave out!

Well,

This past week, the passenger side back window in my 2003 A4 Cabriolet 3.0L decided to give out. I heard a clink and now the window won't go up/down via the button. Anyone have any idea what might be the problem? Also, how much am I expecting to pay to get it fixed? And finally, is it something I can tackle on my own? I tried taking the panel out, but ended up being blocked by a lot of insulation and gave up.

Your window regulator is broken. You can buy a new part online and there is a DIY but i took it to have done. I bought it online for right around $100 and a shop is going to take around 2 hrs of labor to install so reasonably about $250-$300.

i got the same problem with my 03 audi a4 i just never bothered to fix it i never sit in the back my window works perfectly fine :)

How difficult of a DIY would it be? Anyone attempted to fix this themselves? Will I be need some special tools to get this done? I don't mind paying $250 for a professional to do it, but if I could save it, that would be awesome.
