    I have a bad thermostat in my car and I just bought a new oem one. It came in the mail a few days ago but I have no idea how to install it. There is a diy for the b6 1.8t on here and I am wondering if that diy applies to my b5. I am just looking for a yes or no. I searched this but couldn't find anything.

    It's basically the same for a B5 and B6.

    Remove the throttle body boot, throttle body, intake manifold brace.

    Remove two bolts on thermostat covering.

    Replace thermostat & o-ring.

    Reverse.
