snowboard rack

The oem snowboard rack (part #1T0071129),, is that identical to the thule 91725 Universal Flat top 6 or is it the same as the thule 91726 Universal Pull top? the only difference between the above mentioned thules, is that the 91726 carrier extends out to make loading the boards easier. I was just wondering if anyone knows if the oem carriers do the same thing? Thanks.

beats me, i leave the driver side rear seat down and just leave my boards inside the car all winter.

1T0071129 = Thule 91726

The difference?

Physically, they are the same rack. Where it is different is the mounting attachment.

The 1T0071129 has T-bolts to mount into the T-slot.

The Thule 91726 has universal attachment mounts. HOwever, you can get the Xadapt2 kit to utilize the T-slots on the OEM Rack.

thanks, you think its worth the hassle to take back my oem rack that was $225 and get the same thule rack for $175. Basically, is the Xadapt2 kit a PIA to use?

Once you buy the xadapt2 kit and your time to to go back and do the exchanging you are looking at about the same $$. Just keep what you have.

No. In the end, you'll save $20. The Xadapt2 kit contains misc. parts. Of that kit, you'll only use the T-bolts. THe rest go to waste (or use on certain bike mounts)
