Are they 349 or 345mm ? (not heard of 349mm option...)

If 345mm, yes - the OEM caliper (asumed bracket for the brake kit supplied), will fit inside your 18" wheel BUT it will still depend on the profile of the spokes of the 708s.

I had the Statis Touring brake kit (345mm x 28mm alcon rotor & OEM caliper adaptor bracket). The rotor of this kit actually offset 10mm greater than the OEM rotor and the caliper is offset 10mm respectively by the adaptor bracket. This means you need a fair amount of spoke clearance.

They kit fitted under my 17" OEM Sline 5 spoke wheels but it did not fit behind the spoke profile of my 19" VMR 714s ! Could have fitted spacers to clear the brakes but illegal in this part of the world....

We haven't had any fitment issues with any BBK's that we've tested, which include the Brembo and stoptech kits, ECS Porsche caliper kits, and the B5S4 calipers. our V708 and V710's have the most caliper clearance, the V714 has a lip, and thus less caliper clearance. I'm guessing that you'll be okay, but keep us updated.

Thanks for responding VMR. I'll let you know, they go on tomorrow.

Hopefully they fit under the stock Ti's with spacers!

Yep - in my state (Queensland) they are not legal. Most cops wouldn't notice and plenty of people still use them - it just comes down to taking the chance of getting noticed.

You'd have to be unlucky but we do have the occasional random road side machinery inspection where things like this will be noticed. Heavy fines for illegal modifications over here...

A long time ago, (before many of the members here were even born ! ), I got sent over the pits following a traffic infringement. They went through the car with a fine tooth comb and it failed miserably. Had to rectify several mods within 2 weeks or face fines and have the car de-registered. These days I do it all by the book

The extreme worse case (as happened to a friend) is if you're involved in an accident and insurance assessors identify an illegal modification. Insurance becomes null & void and if someone got hurt, you're screwed !

But spacers give the car a wider stance...and actually make it safer...Weird.
