    will i see any gains from a MBC on a bone stock car? i hear it does nothing for our cars.

    If you get chipped it might be a good idea. but its not nessasary. if you dont have it already just dont buy it. But if you already have one then go for it... it wont hurt.

    You will only be able to bump up the boost a few psi so you wont see all that much of a gain. If you try adding too much boost the ecu will start doing things to decrease the power. You might also find that the MBC makes the power feel on/off.

    You have an 01, so you can do the diode mod to the MAP sensor, add an MBC, and hit ~17psi peak safetly. Use the search function to find out how to do it. The MBC will cost the most (assuming that you don't cheap out. Suggested ones are the TurboX bleed/ball type valve). The diode costs maybe $1 and you will need to know how to use a solder iron.

    #1 way to blow up an engine if the MBC fails. Chip the car and run 21psi with the overboost safety still in place.

    I used it when I was stock my N75 went bad so I left it plugged in electrically and bumped the boost to about 12psi at 1 bar is when you hit the fuel cut. I am DBC so I dont know how it would work for you since you are DBW.
