    X2, how much $$?
Testpipe/HFC is a must if you have not already

There are tons of routes, it just depends on how deep your pockets are and what you are looking to get. More power? exterior? interior?

Well, you are pretty maxed out on what you can do with what you have. IF you have the money, go with a bigger turbo. And from there on it depends on how much you have/willing to spend. How much power are you looking to get?

    Re: Fmi?turbo? Idnooo

ha i say go gtrs or k04.....if you wanna spend some big bucks, go for gt3076r which that will give you 13 second trap times on 93 octane in the 1/4th

why did you stay with a sidemount intercooler when you upgraded, fmic is superior to it when going for more power. but getting the stage 4 with pressure plate didnt make sense unless you upgrade to more power lol....
    work in progress....

Wow, seriously?! The gt30 is way more than bolt on. I mean, youll even have to upgrade rods then.

You need the turbo, high flow manifold, injectors, tune, spark plugs, turbo inlet pipe.

yes, it may give you a little more low end torque, depending on how good your smic is and you'll want one for a bigger turbo(gt30r+)

Its quite unnecessary for a k03 and overkill if you ask me. You will loose 1-2 psi. It might prevent from heatsoak however your beefy sidemount should make due. You might not even need an upgraded intercooler if you dont plan on constantly running your car.

It is a mod where you cut up your fender lining in order for more air to go into the stock intake. There is a dIY write up on it in the FAQ section. Sorry A4mafia, not trying to stir things up.

And to the OP, tell us how much you have to spend and we'll tell you what can be done to make it faster. There is a big difference if you have a budget of $500 compared to $2000

Well, if I were you, I would wait and save up a couple hundred more so you can get a bigger turbo. For a little over $1k, you can get a K04 which will give you around 225-250hp, but if you save a little more than that, close to $2k, you can get a GT2871r or GTRS eliminator setup which will put you anywhere from 300-350hp

Well, nothing really, you seem to have everything else. In the mean time, I would figure out exactly which kit you want to run. Then if you dont mind going through the used route, slowly piece the kit together by getting great deals here and there

    Re: Fmi?turbo? Idnooo

These A4mafia kids think they know it all......btw TRAP refers to your SPEED that your run in the quarter, not the time....And 13 seconds is absolutely possible with a GT2871r with all appropriate mods and a good tune. Just because its not on youtube doesn't means its impossible. With a GT30 and a built motor, low 12s or high 11s (if not better) are what you shoot for if you really know what ur doing

and about the FMIC, bikestai is right once again.....just search....

But to the OP, I'd say you should go with either an eliminator turbo or a pre-packaged turbo kit (APR, eurocode, etc), because those will allow you to do the least amount of fabrication while still making good linear power. Unless you are serious about putting down some monster numbers, I'd go with something thats reliable and tested. If you've got the coin, I'd suggest going with either a PES t28 or an APR Stage III kit, which would net you from 230+ whp, which is GREAT for a street driver DD. If you want more power than that, then step up to a GTRS or GT2871r.....the power you make on these all depends on your tune

    Re: Fmi?turbo? Idnooo

There have been a few GT28rs/71 cars that have ran in the 13's on a pump gas tune. A B5 A4 with a elim has ran 12.4 on a race tune and I ran low 13's on 91 with a B6 running a GT2871r. So running low 13's should not be that hard for a B5 on pump gas, maybe even into the 12's with a good driver.

Not sure why someone would only go by what is on Youtube, better off looking at the Time slip site or Dragtimes.com for looking at what A4's have done in the 1/4 mile.

To the OP, it is better to save up some more money and then get something worth upgrading with. $1,000 is just enough for a turbo (brand new). My advice is to be very content with your current set up and save for a BT (or BAT application). And when you have some more dough saved up, give the guy whom posted above you a PM (Mike Hood aka mike-2ptzero). He can help you with just about anything you need.

I myself have exhaust, flashed ECU, HFC and am content myself. I will take the same advice I just gave you, because it is a more prudent route when it comes to car modifications.

OP, I'd go GTRS or GT17R elim and just bolt that it in and get a tune to suit.

    Re: Fmi?turbo? Idnooo

an eliminator setup is a fairly cheap endeavor compared to a fully built race engine. this is the route i plan on going early next year. read the faq or use the search function to avoid flaming. my advice would be to get a jhm solid shifter package and save up for a turbo. just remember, once engine output is significantly increased (around 300 hp some say), connecting rods become necessary.
