I reckon you could steal an 08 brand new. Don't they have to 'stamp' them into service after next week? i.e. it's still new on their lot, but they are now titled to the dealer and the warranty is now ticking away.

That's why 08 RS4s were selling for $60,000 flat (USD) earlier this month.

I'll need a new vehicle in the spring...hopefully a hauler (SUV/Wagon)

I'd love a B8 A4 Avant, but they're terrribly overpriced. $50,000+CDN.

I could go buy a 2007 S4 Avant in the US, import it, pay taxes and 20% exchange and come out $5,000 better. And...have a V8.

Indeed, then pop for the VF Supercharger in a year or two and you'd have better-than-RS4 performance.
