    DDM HID kit power question

    Hey guys merry christmas.
Well I got my DDM 55w kit in the mail today. got the headlights out and hte ballasts out too, but now i'm stumped. how do i connect the power to the new ballasts? There's a connector from the new ballast but it's not like the old ballast where you plug it directly into the ballast. stock headlights other than that. will i have to cut some wires and use some electrical tape to make the power go to the ballasts?

You need a 9006 harness plug

also, just doing a little thinking here.
how do i get the wires to fit into that harness? saw some pictures of it, doesnt look like you just place a wire into the harness.

would it be possible to take the connector from the ballast, shave off the top of the connector so the 2 prongs are accessible, and just solder/electrical tape the positive and negative wires to them?

I just cut off the stock connector and connected the 9006 harness which can be found at most auto parts stores. Works great

I used the stock wiring, hooked the power wires to some 16 gauge wire with those sidebyside crimp connectors, then put some female spade terminals on the end of the 15 gauge wire and plugged those onto the power connector for the ballast

i ended up at autozone and bought some 9006 connectors. I spliced some wires together with some twisting and mad amounts of electrical tape. they're secure.. I'll put them in tomorrow morning and make sure they work well.
