Just a preview of things to come:

Got a Carbon Fiber Hood coming, S Line Bumper replacing my Deval RS4 Front Bumper (looking to change the look up), and APR Stage 3 Turbo Kit. My car is leaving me Friday getting my Tiptronic Rebuilt by IPT Tuning that should take a week. When it gets back Carbon Fiber Hood is going on S Line Bumper is going on and the Turbo Kit will be installed by me. Then hopefully by early January i can do a Full Photoshoot, write up on the Turbo Kit, pics of the install and impressions. This new year is looking awesome already!!!!

If by beast you mean 13 second car. Are you getting your tip remapped?

The car should run mid 12's with a good launch. My dads RS4 is putting down approx 315WHP 280WTQ weighs 4010lbs and ran a 12.8 and obviously a stick.

My car with around 320WHP 300WTQ weighs under 3600 with me in it should be faster.

    A friend of mine with 320WHP/320WTQ on an A4 2.0T Quattro with a bad launch (2.2 60' time) ran in a 12.5.

^^That's the only thing I don't like about the APR Stage 3. You need to replace your clutch, on top of needing the fuel pump and FMIC. However, enjoy your free upgrade Sal!! Congrats again, dude. You'll have one of the fastest 2.0T A4's in country.

    Just for reference:

Stock A4 2.0T Quattro Tiptronic runs a 15.8 Quarter Mile.
    With 220WHP I ran a 14.2 Quarter Mile.
With 320WHP i should improve more than a second with that extra power and most it in the upper RPMS where the car was begging for it at the track.

The Tiptronic has a nasty launch, my 60' time at the track was 1.8 every single time. Most 6 speeds can't break out of the 2's.

I did a run the other night with ESP on..woops..and I did 0-60 in 6.26. I think I could get it down closer to 6 or maybe even 5's with a better launch, HPFP(soon) and ESP OFF!

Of course there are exceptions with an amazing driving the 6 speed should be quicker but 99% times the auto is faster. My friend has the same exact car in 6 speed and he is a good driver and i beat him off a roll as well so Tip is no slouch.

Re: Just a preview of things to come:

I would bet that if you throw and aftermarket clutch, with a lighter fly wheel and SSK, the 6 speed would win. Stock...the manual tranny is a beast and the shifts take longer than the auto tranny.

If/when my clutch goes, since it wont by under warranty, I'm going to go after market.

the tip shift is way too slow. It needs to be remapped. Then again, this car really needs a DSG and HPA DSG kit.

Can you elaborate on your Tiptronic upgrade? What components are you upgrading? Are you upgrading the both hardware and software? What's the cost like? I'm getting a BT kit soon and wanted to know about upgrading the tiptronic.

Really? This is bit hard to believe...I usually throw it in S mode and just floor the car, but the w/o the reving the RPM for launch, it feels so slow.

With the upgrade your tiptronic, can you rev your RPM in Neutral then throw it to D for quick launch? (I've seen this in American muscle cars)

Upgrading the valve body on a zf trans is like putting a shift kit on it. Shifts become crisper, faster and harder.

So what is my tranny rebuild consisting of?
    Upgraded Valve Body
    Upgraded Torque converter
    HP tranny cooler
All new synthetic fluids and filters

    Should hold around 450hp

If you read on other posts on the same topic...estimate price of the tiptronic upgrade prob is around 2-4k with install. I know the torque converter is somewhat around 700$ not installed.

Im so excited to see how all this works out...in the future, parts will only become cheaper for the rest of us :P If I had the money, id be a guinea pig as well tho

Did you get a higher stall torque converter? If yours is at 3000 now, I would have opted to make it 3500 in preperation for that GT28 going on soon. 4000 is too mushy for a daily driver.

Yeah. That's what the muscle cars that you referred to earlier do; they have a highly built transmission that is built to specifically hold high rpms while sitting still so they can launch at that rpm. Dropping from neutral to drive is a big no on a street car.
That's partially what I was talking about earlier; you want to hold (stall) at the rpm where torque is greatest while being reasonable. Too high a stall will make daily driving very uncomfortable/mushy.
