Is milltek exhaust really worth the premium over a stasis?

Just wondering what you guys who have heard them in PERSON have to say about them...listening to clips doesnt do it for me. WIthout full-range sound recording it just doesnt tell me much. For a guy with a 2.0TQM there is about 400 bucks difference. Is it worth it to splurge for the milltek as an xmas gift for myself? Or should I save money, go with the stasis, and keep on my goal towards the K04 I want to get some time in the future?

Despite which exhausts your looking at I would still say keep going for a k04.

No, not at all, they are booth great products but an extra $400 is rediculous for you getting about the same thing is pretty self-explanitory. I really enjoy my stasis exhaust, no drone, it deep and mellow. Which is perfect for my needs because I wasn't looking for a loud exhaust. It really comes down with what your looking for in an exhaust.

I've heard the quality of the Milltek isn't great. Go for the STaSIS. I LOVE MINE!

when it comes to a catback exhaust, they all pretty much do the same thing, nothing... it comes down to which sound you like, from what ive seen many like awe and stasis, which im guessing have a louder rumble to it, while milltek is silent, and stealthy, i love my milltek, and i think with the 100MM tips its the best looking exhaust on the market

it doesn't sound exactly like stock. I gave a B7 owner a ride in my car with Milltek DP-back and he thought it sounds deeper and a tad louder than his stock exhaust.

fyi they are basically the exact same setup for people who keep saying one is better than the other. Difference is STaSIS’ downpipe is split right as the downpipe comes down and goes horizontal. AWE splits basically under the front seats. STaSIS tips are slash cut, AWE are vertical cut.

They are both good companies I chose milltek because I also love the tips and when I come up the driveway at 3 am I don't want to disturb anyone around.

I don't know where you got that info from, but it is well known that AWE drones more than Milltek does. AWE sounds good though.

it's pretty common knowledge by now that AWE = more drone than Stasis/Milltek
i've heard both side-by-side (AWE and milltek) and my personal observations def. support that notion

My milltek does not drone at all, I am over the loud boy racer exhaust but wanted the increase in performance so I went with milltek. Didn't AWE have to change their exhausts to a non-drone version because it was so bad on the highway?

How bad is highway driving for you stasis folks? Is a 5-7 hour drive bearable for you and passengers?

Not bad at all. You get a little drone while on cruise control around 80 or so going up hill. That's about it...and the drone isn't even that bad.

I have never heard stasis, so can't rate it.

I have owned AWE and it was too loud for my taste. Loud droning caused anyone in the the backseat to whine all the time. :) I usually tried to drown it out with my stereo but can't get over that droning pitch. =/

I currently have Miltek and it is a little louder than stock and I love it.

i love my techtonics 2.5" dp-back exhaust. Its unique, quiet, but noticeable. My powerband noticeably smoothed out with this exhaust. Its not all polished like these systems, but i love it.

Does it give you a better sport sound? Performance-wise, was the difference noticeable for those of you with a chip?
