Pics, new RS4 Rims and Alignment specs with Stern ACAs

Finally the dealer got my Stern ACAs figured out and got my alignment finished. here are some pics of the car with my new rs4 style rims and the alignment specs. i am still concerned with tire wear since the tires still appear angled slightly and the car still pulls a hair to the right... perhaps someone can tell me why....

also i love the way the car feels with the STern ACAs, they have a solid steel ball joint at the ends instead of the factory rubber deal so you "feel" the road a lot more and the car seems to turn smoother. it also follows the road more but it when you go to negotiate a turn the car seems to know what you are thinking and just falls right in where you want it to..

supposedly this is factory specs and is best for tire wear which was the whole reason for doing all this..

these are a RS4 style rim that comes on the new s4s but its 18" not 19". i didnt want 19"s because of the cost of tires...

Dang dude, am trying to find a nice set for my 17". I dont want to change 9 total tires switching to from 17" to 18". My winter tires are like brand new too.

How is it possible (in the BEFORE shot) that you FL tire was at a camber of -.038....but the FR at -2!!!!?

Because the new upper control arms weren't adjusted properly.

Great alignment specs too. You should get really good tire wear.

these tires that came on the rims are nearly brand new and cost $230 each on tirerack.com.. i cant afford another set for awhile with business being down so much

I highly doubt it lol they had trouble figuring out a simple reverse threaded jam nut... Too many mechanics these days are by the book and cant figure shit out for themselves

i got some ebay ones on order, they were $79.96 at the dealer plus tax for four. ill wait a week for my china made ebay ones ($23.50 shipped) to arrive

You don't have any caster readings in the alignment sheet. I'm guessing your caster is lower on the right side. This is pretty common practice, as it allows the car to compensate for the crown that's common on many roads.

But otherwise, the numbers look great!

i doubt they did - but it won't make enough of a difference that he'll feel it while driving. 9 times out of 10 i don't add weight either (i do it on my car, friends cars, when asked, and on cars where it's worth the time.. lol) and i have yet to get a comeback on an alignment.

really the ONLY time i've ever had someone complain about their alignment it was because they refused to get new tires (..they were replacing them all one at a time) and when i set the alignment in like they wanted (even though i warned them otherwise) the car pulled since one front tire had 3/32 and the other had 10.

dth homeboy hooked me up with oem center caps for like, $16 bucks, shipped i think? nice wheels though, you will notice that the caps make a big difference

OMG you are such a girl. You are concerned over -.51 camber. lol



i have 245 tires all around with -2.1 camber in the front and -1.8 camber rear. Also i have had it set up like this for over 6 months now and the front tires do show more wear on the inside then out. as for the rears they look perfect.
So don't even worry over your little -0.51
