Depo's & DDM kit on the way

[Rant] So, I royally screwed up a members CC mod . I think the cold weather made the amber really brittle. But, we left them in my house near the fire place for an hour or so. The lip that you pry the amber piece broke off. So, I couldn't pry it out to cut it up. So, I gave him my headlights in return...which sucks because I am broke. But, momma and papa dukes helped me out. So they bought me a set of depo ecodes. Then a H7 4500k 55w kit with the super slim ballasts. I am going to swap over the leveling motors and wire up the city lights. I am happy that I got them. But, it still sucks.

    X2 for a write up.

I think many folks would appreciate it, since this has become a much more reasonable mod.

Re: Depo's & DDM kit on the way

Ok, definitely. I will be installing them in couple weeks after I get back from studying abroad in Belize. It was a pretty sweet deal. I couldn't agree more about it being a reasonable mod. I found the depo's on ebay for 245 shipped and the DDM kit was $85. I am thinking about buying DDM H7 bulbs for the fogs and run it on the stock ballasts. We will see.

Does anyone know for sure if the stock leveler motors work for the depos? I tried to get them into the depos but couldn't get them to fit?

They do fit yes. They should fit in just fine, you have to message them in there however, its not like super easy you just pop it in, gotta force it a bit but it does go in. I have had them in with stock motors in there for over a year.

ahhh , i would be the guy with jcanni's headlights.. This guy is very generous!!! at least your getting some sick E-codes out of it.
DDM it taking a very long time to ship my 6k bulbs which is pissing me off.... I really hope the ballast are good from your car and good luck with those e codes! and deff go with an aftermarket HID kit and ballast they are so much better.

All factory bulbs and levelers swap directly into the depos if you have a box cutter and about an hour.

Re: Depo's & DDM kit on the way

I did the depot headlights and was able to use my stock ballasts and bulbs, but was not able to get the leveling motors in. The lever on the back of the motor did not seem to be long enough. So i just left them out and aimed the headlights myself. Big deal, but great mod none the less...

depo projectors are a downgrade from the OE Valeo projectors.

However, the valeo projector should fit into the Depo housing with little modifications.

Re: Depo's & DDM kit on the way

i had trouble getting my auto levelers in at first too. I took a file to the grooves for the levelers and cleaned them up a little bit and they fit right in.
