    Stock to Sports Suspension

I love the ride quality on my base/stock a4, barely feeling the road and I don't want to loose that. However, I hear the USP sports suspension gets rid of the horrible lean on turns without sacrificing ride quality. How much would it cost to upgrade (properly) to an oem sports suspension? Parts? Labor? est

(I looked into the popular rs4 sway bar choice and my conclusion is it's better to upgrade everything than just tossing a sway bar, also I wouldn't want something that aggressive.)

the OEm sport suspension still handles like shit. You might want to look for other options if you want better handling.

i also wouldn't consider the oem rs4 rear sway bar aggressive.

the best thing you can do is meet with some local people that have upgraded setups and go for a ride with them. Suspension feel is very subjective.

    Re: Stock to Sports Suspension

Try to get one used in the classifieds, it will be springs, shocks, and the rubber stops. Try to get a 2002 year because its the lowest, but obviously not ridiculously low, its OEM. If not the closer to 2002, the fractionally lower you are. Labor might be $350-400 but its not like its that easy of an install so there's a reason. If you really wanted good ride quality though and you had more money to spend, just get some used coilovers. The height is adjustable and the ride quality will be even better. Idk your budget though so just do what is good for you.

    Thanks for the responses

I'm also in the northeast so I'm trying to tighten everything up while maintaining winter/snow ride quality. I just tossed 18"s on there, I thought the sports package would be the right choice.

sport will give you a noticably difference in handling, obviously not as good as an aftermarket suspension but comfort with coils or new shock spring combo will be compromised somewhat. You can find sport suspension components in the classifieds fairly often for $200-$300. i changed my shocks and springs myself pretty easily following the DIY Capt. Obvious did for coils.
