Will these snow tires fit on my sport wheels? They seem a little skinny, but pretty thick sidewall. Anyone?

17" tires i would recommend for your car would be 235/45-17. 60 side wall is huge and it will rub everywhere. I would not recommend using those.

Even for snow tires? I read somewhere that skinnier tires are better for snow tires.

the problem isn't the width. it is the overall height of the tire. The tire size you are asking about is almost 2" larger diameter than the oem size. it is most likely going to rub. here is the comparison:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
    235/45-17 4.2in 12.7in 25.3in 79.6in 796 0.0%
    215/60-17 5.1in 13.6in 27.2in 85.3in 743 7.2%
