i know i had this issue before. but now its not moving at all...its stuck on the start up position so on the Cold Side....what sensor do i need to do?? or what is it...is it my thermostat..?? or is it a sensor i can swap out??

Could be either, ECT sensor or thermostat.

I want to say coolant temp sensor. I thought the factory ones were green and were replaced with black ones. It is located in back of engine by firewall kind of under the accordian hose. There is a writeup how to replace it on audiworld. I was looking for it, but cant find it at the moment. Real easy to replace

I want to say that usually you will get a code if its bad and the CEL light will stay on.

Well after looking a little more I could have my colors wrong for the Coolant temp sensor. I know that the early model ones were known to be defective, but I dont remember which color that was if it was green or black. lol

Also MHolme said ect sensor, I found out that is the coolant temp sensor. so I'll just say What ^^^^^ said.
