coolant temp sensor poped out?

so i started my car today after a week or soo of not driving. i go back in side 5 or 10 mins leater i back it out of my garage and i se that my coolant lite is on and a little puddle of coolant under the car about 6inchs around. i took off the coolant tank and i noticed that the sensor like blew out of the hose or something and i tried like pushing it back in their but is their a clip or...? help guys thanks

There is a plastic clip that holds it in. Get a new clip, make sure the oring is still there and put it back together.

i didnt see anything on the hose to clip on to ?? maybe i didnt see it

That's the coolant level sensor (underneath the expansion tank), the temp sensor is the green one behind the engine itself (which has the o ring and clip).

yea im not sure hopefully its on my floor in the garage thanks tho.

Coolant flange may have broken... I had my cts pop out on my car, it cracked all the way around the cts flange where it meets the main pipe... The sensor shot out and smoked the hood, I heard it from inside the car... Steam everywhere and I go and look and the clip is still in and the flange is just dangling there, hopefully you don't have the same problem

But just in case I though I'd share...
