Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am seriously considering purchasing the Brembo big brake kits... Looking @ 6pot FR & 4pot RR...

Anyone have any pictures of what they look like INSTALLED on a B7 S4...??? Post all the pictures you have... Thanks! Any additional info would be helpful.

And yes I have seen the other brake kits... Only looking for Brembo...

10mpgS4... is that your car? If so, do you have the rear kit as well? Pics? How was the install? I am assuming it integrates seamlessly with the car, did you notice much difference in pedal feel/braking? Thanks!

I have a Ford Taurus company car which I drive 5 days out of the week, so yeah... I guess you could say its my race car!

But seriously... its primarily cosmetic... I just love the sight of multipiece rotors with massive calipers behind the perfect set of rims... just makes the car look 1000x more agressive...

The performance gains can't hurt either...

    Re: Pic Request... BREMBO BBK!

If the cost isn't an issue, it would be for me...uh- my wife LOL) , I would love the look & performance gains of an Alcon BBK! That Brembo set-up sounds fun!

However, through the lens of my 401k/201k & after reading numerous posts I have decided to go for JHM's lighter F & R OE style rotors, painted calipers, Hawk HPS pads & braided lines.

Does the kit for the rear have an E-brake?

    Any links available?

What kind of "perfect rims" do you have in mind?

Keep in mind you'll lose your e-brake with the rear kit. There aren't any worthwhile aftermarket rear calipers for these cars because you either lose the e-brake or add weight to the car, imho not worth it. STaSIS has a separate disk in the works (see my sig), and I think JHM just released the same. I suggest skipping the rear brembos though

That is my car and unfortunately I don't have the rear kit

I paid to have the brakes installed so I would have to say that install was a snap. The only problem was that my old wheels didn't fit after and luckily I had a 15mm spacer lying around or I wouldn't have made it home. The DPE wheels shown is new which I bought after the fact and it's made with the right mystery offset which these company never discloses. The clearance on them is minimal at best still.

I didn't notice any big difference braking during commute conditions but when I took it to the twisties, I can tell that it has less fade after repeated heavy use vs stock.

If you are really interested in a quality BBK, you can also look into OEM RS4 8 Pot BBK. IIRC that it costs less than a Brembo GT kit but don't quote me on that.

Ok... well since I will lose my e-brake with the rears, that is now definetly pushing me towards taking the leap to an RS4... I can get one for only $200 more p/mo... I would end up spending $200 x 40 on the Brembo BBKs and set of replica wheels and tires and its still not an RS4...! Hmmm... yeah I think Im now in the market for an RS4... damn and I just bought my S4 not even 8 weeks ago... Going to the dealer now...

Ummm...why didn't you just go RS4 in the first place? Haha, I mean I love my S4 and everything, but if i could afford the RS in the first place...not a tough choice. And for the record, the RS4 rears are very similar to the s4 rears, so if that's your ONLY reason, then you can just go with the aftermarket disks/rotors.

IMHO that set-up looks perfect! Nevertheless, how does it perform? Wheels are sweet too!

True! looks don't matter to some; however, since this a look versus need thread....maybe look is applicable/important?

Mov-it is awesome! Billet aluminum and light as hell, great performers! But you're lookin at A LOT of $$$, not to mention a three week wait since each kit is custom made. Don't know exact weights, or how they compare to brembo or alcon(my fav), but they're light! Also apparently the best stopping power of any other kit.

Trying to remember the name of the member who had that set-up before. If you still wanna go with Brembo & you don't wanna lose your ebrake, buy their B5 S4 ebrake kit and find someone who can make you a pair of ebrake caliper brackets. I think I still have a set of brackets in my garage. =)

Actually, they're lazer drilled, not actually drilled...badass...and again with the e-brake, i don't know what the weight is, it may actually add a bit to the rear (which is personal preference). Either way, with whatever setup you go with it's gonna make a HUGE difference
