    take the engine cover off.

    unplug the coil packs

    pull up and remove

put new ones in, push down a little

    then reconnect the packs

Re: how to replace coil packs?

It is easy, but be careful when pulling off the connectors - that plastic gets very brittle due to the heat. You can insert a small screwdriver into the little tab to "unclick" the connector from the coilpack, but be very gentle - just listen and feel for the click to know that you can pull off the connector. If you do break a tab, don't sweat it - you can still plug the connector back into the new coilpack - use a metal zip tie or something to harness the pack to the connector if you're worried about it coming loose.

Also, don't wiggle the connector and wire harness around - when you disconnect the connector, move the harness as little as possible. Just back the connector off of the pack enough to get the connector out. Again, the heat can make the wire harness brittle.

I've dropped E's before, definilty better then stock but wouldn't say you never have to worry about them again.

I blew one a few months back and picked up some R's for $25 a pop. Go to an independent shop or you will pay a fairly large mark up.

Re: how to replace coil packs?

I (as well as many others) would recommend changing them all at the same time..
As we all know, once 1 of them goes..the rest follow suit.
