    AEB Head cheap anyone interested

I have my old AEB head sitting here since I took it out of my car after the melting problem occured.

Anyway if you dont know, I had a problem where cylinder #1 melted away causing me to blow the head gasket and warp my valves and have some erosion between the exhaust valves, so I got another head and built it instead of having this one welded up and repaired.

If someone is interested in buying it to have it fixed you can have it for $60

It will come empty (no valves), but it will have all the lifters and cam caps and if you want I will give you the stock cam gear and a pair of stock cams as well if you want them. It will make shipping costs go up though due to weight, so your call.

I took pics of each of the cylinder domes so you can kinda see between the exhaust valves in cylinder 1, 2 and 3 where there is a little erosion under the edges of the valve seats so the seats will need to be pulled out and a little welding and shaping done then new seats put in and then on cylinder 1 the one spot will need to be welded and then the head be resurfaced.

    Cylinder 1

    Cylinder 2

    Cylinder 3

Cylinder 4 (this one is perfect)

A head/machine shop would weld in new pure aluminum into the spot missing and then grind it down and put it on the resurfacing machine to make the whole thing flat.

i want one but i would have to show them the picture to see if they can do it.

I wont b able to do that until next week i was just wondering what all it would take to fix that

The valve seats are not machined into the head they are an actual separate piece ?

Re: AEB Head cheap anyone interested

I had a little welding done around the water jacket on my new head before resurfacing. They charged me $45 for misc. welding and then $29 to resurface the head. That head pictured would need a little more though.

Hmmm. Any idea how much shipping this to DC would cost? A big-port head would be nice!

It was like $65 shipped from Texas to the Florida Keys originally with it all complete (cams, lifters, valves).

Probably around $40-50 from here in Jacksonville. I think I might have some stock exhaust valves that are good too, would have to check.
