What car can the B5 S4 drivetrain fit in?

Basically I have a perfectly good running 01.5 S4 that can't be driven due to title issues. I want to fit it's drivetrain into another car for an exciting project.. trying to stick away from the first idea that comes to mind (B5 A4 = boringg).. What other cars can out drivetrain fit in, considering once some the obvious modifications are done

Passat B5 or B5.5 would be nice. I wanted to do that at one time. I owned an 03 passat and wanted to do something interesting but decided against. If you were to get a V6 4motion it wouldnt be to bad, even the FWD but than you wouldn't have no traction what so ever.

YES YES AND YES. Older coupe quattro 91 or so would be hella sweet to do an S4 swap but you are looking at alot of work, fabing and wiring.

Wow the Lotus is sick -- and a corrado could be interesting.

I'm thinking an old (80's) Maserati Biturbo or an old Alfa. I want to do something old but sick -- but how can I know beforehand if the S4 drivetrain will fit in that car?

A guy down here in the Uk has done the conversion in a '99 B5 Passat Syncro.

He bought the 18,000 mile S4 motor off me, his car was originally a V6 Syncro, he also replaced the 5-speed tranny with a 6-speed.

The S$ swapped Corrado was in the last EuroTuner issue, and Coupe Quattros are very cool cars. With a 2.7 they're even more baller :)

Personally waiting till I got a replacement car first, then going to hopefully start next year with a Corrado swap. Always loved the Corrado and wish I owned one when I was in my early 20's.

I bought the car from a shop called Eurodesign in Leominster, MA with a bill of sale from them bc they legally owned the car but could not aquire. I was told later by someone in the MA who was familiar with the shop that it was a mechanics lien a long time ago

I know a guy whos using a B5 S4 tranny in his (old, like 1990's) S6. aparently it bolts right in.

If i was going to go oldschool i would put it in a CQ, otherwise i might put it in a B6 A4 and make it a sleeper.

They've gone 4.6 Cobra motors into a Ford Focus. I would love to do that. My vote goes to the Corrado though, those cars are damn sweet. Or an R32 Golf? lol That would surprise some people.

Yeah, I don't know if the one posted in the magazine is the same, but there's a TT with the 2.7t and a single turbo setup

I was considering swapping my set up into my A2 GTI, but I already have a 3L VR6 Big Turbo for it... But a S4 motor running GT's w/a 20/80 split diff would be awesome in a well sorted A2 GTI... Maybe some day.

Buy a cheap A4 with a good title and swap vin plates. part out a4, enjoy your new upgraded a4. s4 would be even better ,but to find 1 cheap enough is another story. just my 2 cents. deffently not legal but I know someone who has done it twice with no problems.

Put it in a CRX. People have put everything from boxer motors to 700ci big blocks in those little cars. Can you imagine a 2200lb awd car with that much power and tq? Youd be in the low 11's or high 10's with just a chip lol

You provide all the shit from the S4 and ill provide the car and do all the work. Then we can share the winnings well get from smashing all the fools at the track lol

i would work around the title by getting it titled in another state. there are states that will issue titles for it, it is just a matter of finding them.
