    caractere bumper

I dropped off my caractere bumper today to get painted. I read previous posts about the rebar issues.
My question is....I'm a little nervous that the guy didn't test fit my bumper before painting it.. I was told this bumper is pretty much a direct fit... I'm just tripping i guess...i just want to be reassured that after he paints it..the install will go smooth...

    Thanks...

    Re: caractere bumper

the only problem i had was that there was an extra little piece they had to cut off because it wouldnt let the rebar sit properly

you're crazy to drop a part like this to paint without first test fitting it... good luck, hopefully the caractere fitment is top notch

yup i learned that when i bought this bumper because the shop couldnt get it on and it had already been painted so i would of been out of a decent chunk of money because the company whom i bought it from wouldnt return it

    Re: caractere bumper

I had the body shop use the stock head light washer covers, since the ones that came with the bumper didnt have the holes or what have you drilled/made to swap right onto the bumper and fit the washers. They sanded them down a little and re-painted them with the bumper. All works now.
