    BRAKE sensor? Please help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey all,

Being in the midwest right now the temperature is in the single digits.

When I'm driving occasionally but frequently the BRAKE light flashes and beeps. I know my emergency brake isn't on or stuck - and it seems like every time I take a right turn it always goes off!

Please help - it is slowly driving me crazy

Could be low brake fluid. If its low, just top it off.

Its just the BRAKE light on the dash, not the display - could that still be it?

If its the orange circle blinking and beeping, then you need new pads. If the red letters "brake" flash on, you may be low on fluid and will need to replace the pads soon.

im just glad you used BRAKE correctly.....

there are two brake lights... one on your MFA display-it means your pads are low

the other is a small red dash light that says BRAKE and just means your fluid is low

Thanks! Yea I'm talking about the actual BRAKE light, not on the display
So I can just top off brake fluid, I don't have to bleed the brakes or anything? Can I use any brake fluid?

But when your brake pads are low, subsequently your fluid could also be low.

It seems to be like your brake pads (most likely rear ones) are bad. Take a look at your rear pads, I am willing to bet they are almost gone This same thing happened to me
