Good day,
Kind of new here so first of all. hello to everyone.
I need some advice or some opinions on a problem i have with my 2003 a4 2.5tdi. When the car has sat overnight or a real long time for the engine to completely cool the car starts up real quick 1-2seconds. If i run the car around town, then stop somewhere for a while(1hour) then go to start the car , it has a difficult time starting. So trouble starting when engine warm.It turns and turns (once probably 10 seconds) but doesn't fire and then whoofff shoots smoke like a tractor. I had the timing belt changed, glow plugs changed, starter is fine, battery fine. I read around that it could be a timing issue and i should go somewhere to get it checked with Vag-Com, but then someones said that it could be the fuel pump itself something inside it malfunctioning. I also had the car's software changed so from 163bhp i would get 180bhp. Could that be the issue, should i just go get it checked with the Vag-Com? What values in Vag-com am I looking for? Please help me out, I want to go on a long trip with the car and Im afraid of a breakdown.
Thanks alot for you time
Costin
