I added EBC Red Stuff brake pads as well as bled the brakes the other night. I chose the EBC Red Stuff because they had both front and rear pads. I decided to wait a few days to post a review so I could break the brakes in properly and get a good feel for them. I am have about 1,000 miles on my new brakes now. Here are my initial thought:
1) They seemed a little noisy at first but have completely quieted down now. The are no louder than the stock brakes.
2) There is ZERO dust from these brakes. Like I said, I have about 1,000 miles on these and there is no visible brake dust.
3) The initial "bite" is not as good as stock but very quickly have the braking force of stock. This lack of initial bite is hardly noticeable and decreases as the brakes heat up.
4) The braking force seems greater than stock. The only thing really limiting my braking performance are my tires currently. I have 245/35/19 and I am switching to Michelin PS2's 255/30/19's soon.
5) I have not been able to test these pads resistance to fade as I have not had the opportunity to take the car to the track as it is closed.
6) I cannot comment on rotor wear as I have not had them long enough. I assume they will wear through rotors fast (most ceramic pads do) but OEM rotors are pretty cheap
Summary, I recommend these pads. So far they have been worth the investment. I didn't include anything about pedal feel as any changes were most likely attributed to bleeding the brakes.
