after a rough day of driving in the snow i parked the car in the driveway with everything working fine and doin alright. About 3 hours later i take the car out for a little drive and i actually noticed the ride to be a little rough and more bumpy then usual. About halfway through the drive my car beeps at me and shows an oil can with MIN written next to it. Looked it up in the book and it says check oil so i do that and oils fine(just had a service about 2k miles ago). anybody experience something like this. Because of the cold mabey? any info thanks...

    Re: problemo

i had the same problem occur once, oil light came on. took to the dealer, said everything was fine, I guess it was a false alarm.

Just check the oil to ensure it is leveled, if so ignore for now and if the issue repeats than be concerned

whats the rate of our oil ....because im from the south and most of the time I use 5w i think and when i go up to the north is throw codes....im thinking it because of the rate of the oil.

    Re: problemo

When's the last time you changed your oil? If you are changing it at a 15k mile interval, that could be why. Synthetic oil burns at a higher rate than conventional oil. But if it's only been a few thousand miles, I'd be a bit concerned since that would indicate that your engine is either leaking oil or burning oil.

Regardless, make sure your oil is always between both marks on the dipstick (preferably towards the higher part) to avoid damage to your engine and ensure proper performance.

thanks for the help but yea i brought my car in late for the 5k checkup(closer to 6k) and the car has about 9k miles on it so yea it could just be the oil.
